Purchase of Lot #11 by George Schoemann July 21, 1890. Paid $5.00
1. George Schoemann born Rablesdorf Germany. Immigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1854. Had sister, Mrs. Frederick Stohlmann in Louisville area, so came to Cass County.
George and Cloafe had 11 children: John, Matthew, Frank, George, Henry, Mrs. Rudolph Thimgan, Mrs. Wm Hoover, Mrs. Fred Kreklow, Mrs. William Meisinger, Mrs. Wm Schwalm, Mrs. Wm Wirth.
George and Cloafe went to LeRoy, Colo with the Michael Thimgan group to homestead out there, by they returned to Cass Co. within a few years. When Cloafe died, George Schoemann married Cloafe’s sister, Margaret Inhelder Likewise. George and Margaret retired to the village of Louisville. They almost lost their lives in the flood of 1923. Farms were Louisville Prec. 25-26.
2. Cloafe Schoemann was the daughter of John and Claophe Inhelder. She was born in Switzerland. Cloafe Schoemann was a sister of Matthew Inhelder. (See Lot 26). The Inhelder family founded Cedar Creek.
Mrs. Pearl Schoemann Wendt (Mrs. August) Murdock is a descendant. She is a granddaughter of George and Cloafe Schoemann.
